IMPENETRABLE --

Preceding Next

Korda hardly ever mentioned what his images could depict or mean - he left it upon the viewer to seek his/her own interpretations.

While always valid for his paintings, this reminder will stand repeated here for the whole Abstract  section.
And this painting - to me it somehow brings this to MY mind:

"An impenetrable, massive mountain range as far as the eye can see. The life beyond it must be calm and safe. We think - and set out to climb across to find out if we survive."
